One mother holds me tight, hugs and kisses,
The other, I myself bend down to hug and kiss.
The first one holds me within her two arms,
To the next one, I do with my personal arms.
One mother fed me milk and food,
For the other one I’m ready to shed sweat and blood.
First one protects me with love and care,
Next one I protect from enemy’s scare.
One mother made me sleep, signing folklore,
Other one taught me various tactics on war.
First one gave me name and initials,
Next one gave me fame and credentials.
One mother gave me siblings and relatives,
Other one provided shelter and many friends.
First one stitched me cloths in all colors,
Next one made me hold a Flag, Tri-color.
I am unable to discriminate love of Mothers,
So I pledge, dears, as your soldier son,
I will ever be there, on your service,
As and when you need me, my salutes!
