If You Love Me

If you love me
Love me with unwavering faith
Only such sincere devotion
Can withstand all hindrances of this mortal world

If you love me
Lay down every mask you wear
Though you may hide from the whole world
You cannot deceive your own true heart

If you love me
Love me with unswerving resolve
Only such wholehearted striving
Can stand against all worldly stares

If you love me
Release the tug between reason and your heart
Love as a devoted youth would love
Love is a pursuit beyond all reckoning

If you love me
Do not fear to bare your wounds to me
Every scar is the fire of your journey toward me
I will soothe every scar of yours

If you love me
Do not fear your troubled past
Every hardship is the destiny drawing you to me
I embrace all that you have ever been

If you love me
Love me with an open heart
Let go of all hesitation and forethought
I will be the home where your heart rests

If you love me
Cast off your hardened outer shell
Surrender all your fragility to me
I will be your harbour of love

If you love me
Please learn to love yourself well
To know how to love yourself
Is to love me

If you love me
Become love itself
When you become love itself
You will no longer fear losing me

If you love me
Hold fast to this love
Life is brief
The world is fleeting
Love freely
So you do not waste this journey on earth
