WHEN THE EYES SPEAK
When the eyes speak it is more than words
More beautiful than the music of angelic lyres
Stronger than the echoes of mysterious desires
And stronger than the whirlwind of passionate unrest.
When the eyes speak the magic spreads
A tide of tenderness embraces the chest
Feelings magical flow like a river,
Every sense wake up with the spark.
The arms go to meet hug,
A stream of passion floods the whole heart
The soul wants to convey longing with a kiss
While flaming butterflies permeate the body.
LIFE is a MOMENT
Life is a moment on the clock of eternity
Time is running out and it doesn’t have its own port
It carries us like a torrent of violent passions
Let’s gently extend our hands to each other.
Life is a transit station
Where friends, love and pain meet
And trains full of secret longings are waiting
To lead us to where we are tenderly loved.
Let us travel incessantly in trains of hope,
Let’s do everything that pleases our souls
And until the flame of our dawns is extinguished
Let’s not forget the path that leads to happiness.
Let us surrender to dreams, desire and beauty,
To the radiance of the sky created for us,
Let go of all that has passed and will be
Let love and live today.
PRAYER TO GOD
Dear God, prayer and hope
Thank you for giving love to my soul
So I know how to love both, a grass and a flower
And all the people on this planet.
Thank you for guiding me along the paths of beauty
That you give me strength to fly with birds
You are in my heart with the angel of goodness
As a blessing and as light itself.
God, that I praise you with a song
My whole being breathes with you
Hear the prayers that the heart does not bleed
Give peace that is no more.
Do not allow departures from home
Let the chaos, bombs and rockets stop
Refugees, uncertainty without an aim and hope
And the pathlessness of this suffering planet.
Enlighten the reason of this madness
Cease the wars and conflicts
Unite the hearts that do not know love
May everyone find peace and freedom.

Gordana Sarić, a versatile artist and teacher of French and Latin, author of 22 books, 30 of which are poems about letters taught in the second grade of elementary school, published by the TEXTBOOK PUBLISHING INSTITUTE, translator, organizer and leader of numerous cultural events,
