Nora Balile is a multifaceted artist and a Brussels-based poet of Moroccan or Belgian-Moroccan origin. Her portrait emerges through her life journey, her artistic commitment, and the themes she explores. The Journey of a Committed Artist Nora Balile initially trained as an educator and taught the Humanities for several years. Simultaneously, she passionately dedicated herself to the art of spoken word and the performing arts (declamation, eloquence, theater, storytelling). At the age of 40, following burnout and illness, she decided to devote herself entirely to her art, becoming an author, performer, storyteller, and poet. Writing is, for her, a therapy, a necessity, and an urgent calling. Her work is characterized by a nomadic poetry that unfolds “Beyond Borders” and that she seeks to share with the public. She describes herself as a “Wild soul traveler”.

The Belgian-Moroccan poet has been awarded the International Feminist Poetry Prize.
This literary prize was awarded to her by the Claudine de Tencin Academy in France, under the auspices of the International Society for Women’s and Gender Studies in Poetry (SIÉFÉGP), in May 2026.
The winning work is her poetry collection “Rouge Alchimie” (Red Alchemy), which explores themes of inner transformation, resilience, and liberation. The Brussels-based poet notably translates the experience of illness into poetic creation.
The prize is awarded annually by the SIÉFÉGP association through the journal Le Pan Poétique des Muses (The Poetic Pan of the Muses). It honors poetic creation focused on women’s emancipation, rights, and equality.
