Nageh Ahmed from Egypt: “Staying up late”

Επιμέλεια: Εύα Πετροπούλου Λιανού

Staying up late is torture
I thought I would forget you, my love
You are my love and my companion
So I stuck to memories
Oh my love, you are my eye
Wherever you come, you are
Everywhere you remember me
I have companions who have invited me
Since my eyes are in my longing
Staying up late, the sleeplessness of lovers
The letter of love has become my home
No seas can buy me
Oh nights of passion are my religion
I contain like the night watchmen
A nap so that you can forget me
Under the heat of minors
Her habit is to contain me
I went and got the misery
My forehead has been spilled
From the letters of jasmine
Her love nourished my arteries
In unparalleled beauty
Her name is the light of the eyes
Her voice engraved my genes
You told me to soften me
In the meeting of the beginning, see me
The union was afraid of my time
She said the last words
Say my farewell, my fetus
The last words and my fig
The shelter of my certainty has passed.
