Beyond the Firmament (Earth Chapter) Poem By Wan Yilong

I meditate atop the sacred mountain
With the wisdom eye, I behold myself and this world

Blood surges in the vessels
Energy flows through the meridians
Neurons wander lost in the cybernetic forest of current
Between brain and spine
Rows of chips are embedded

In an instant, the fleshly form dissolves into nothingness
A soul journeys from old age to middle age, youth, adolescence, childhood, infancy, crying
Sucking into a black hole, re-entering the womb
A golden sun returns to the cosmos from above my head
The divine spirit becomes an eagle
Soaring over mountains, lakes, forests, meadows, deserts, until the wasteland
At last returning to the sea

The tiger roars atop the mountain ridge
The elephant plays in the rainforest
All living things awaken between heaven and earth
Breathing the same air
The body becomes mountains, rivers, earth, and cosmic stars

Zebras race across the grassland
Bees kiss the blossoms

The starry sky whispers among themselves
The Snow Mountain Goddess chants softly
The forest holds a grand carnival
Countless elves join the magnificent feast

A colossal whale rises from the abyssal sea
Transparent manta rays glide leisurely among the corals
Dolphins leap from starlight
Sea lions crawl clumsily on the glaciers

A massive fireball hurtles from the deep space
Tumbling, leaping, slowly freezing frame in this moment of time and space
The sky collapses, the earth splits, chaos reigns
Volcanoes erupt, seas boil
Searing winds rage, lightning cracks, thunder roars
After countless centuries
Meteor showers continuously fall into the sea

Countless tiny lives are born in the ocean
They swim in schools
Uniting to form new lives
Seaweed, algae, sea flowers, sea worms, sea fish
The ocean ushers in its golden age and revelry
Countless creatures through endless eons
Wander, survive, and multiply

After the change of numerous civilizations
Earth undergoes the transformation of time

Dinosaurs roam the wilderness
Anacondas climb among the trees
Crocodiles battle in the waters
Wolves gather in packs on the grassland
Apes call their friends
Begin their wars of conquest

Fleets of starships cover the sky descending
Giant figures in spacesuits disembark
Leaving seeds of light
Hidden within their dimension
Nurturing the growth of the human race
Building the splendor of the divine race
