Haiku by Daipayan Nair

1.
local accent —
a cowherd’s call wakes up
the hill

2.
grandma’s forest —
a fistful of wild garlic
for today’s pickle

3.
tea flower spread
our long drive fills with
a conversation

4.
dumpling
what holds me
breaks me

5.
toothpaste tube —
the baby smears its face
with giggles
