Today is China’s National Day. May our great motherland enjoy magnificent landscapes, peace and prosperity, and an everlasting cultural legacy. May the light of love and peace shine across the whole world for all humanity.
This is my speech delivered at the global launch of my new book Phoenix Nirvana (You Will Eventually Shine Bright) at the National Library of China.
In recent years, my works have been translated into multiple languages and gained readers around the world, for which I am profoundly thankful. All my confidence in international cultural communication, every chance to be recognized globally, comes from the strong motherland behind me, and the profound, time-honored Chinese civilization spanning five thousand years.
It is the prosperity of our motherland that gives Chinese literature the courage to reach the world. It is the profound heritage of Chinese civilization that enables every Chinese cultural messenger to speak confidently on the international stage.
I deeply love the land of my motherland and our radiant Chinese civilization. I am honored to spread Chinese culture. In cross-cultural exchanges, I hope through this book Phoenix Nirvana (You Will Eventually Shine Bright), to share the unique warmth of traditional Chinese culture and the authentic life experience of modern Chinese women with readers worldwide.
Rooted in this splendid, profound land of Chinese civilization, every one of us can awaken our inner light, become a gentle ray of light, illuminating ourselves and brightening others.
