Eva Petropoulou Lianou: Dear Lan Xin, our readers wish to know more about you and your spiritual path. Basing on your upcoming book you were a child with certain qualities. Do you want to share with us about your childhood Life events?
Lan Xin (Lanxin Samei): Since my childhood, I have been endowed with a powerful super‑consciousness. Born into a cultural family though not from a Dongba ethnic household, I was haunted by countless spiritual questions for which I could find no one to confide in. In my early years, I experienced many extraordinary intuitive perceptions. At first I could not understand these special gifts and dared not speak of them, fearing being dismissed as childish fantasy. Only after countless premonitions came true did I gradually accept and embrace these innate intuitive abilities.
These gifts include prophetic dreams, foresight of people and events, perception of spiritual energies, and a sense of déjà‑vu. When meeting someone new, I might feel an ancient karmic connection; I could foresee unfolding events; sudden unease would warn me of impending misfortune. Dreams of long‑lost acquaintances would often be followed by their reaching out to me. Even the fate of strangers passing by would sometimes appear within my inner vision. At the age of twelve, a memory remains deeply etched in my heart. I perceived misfortune shadowing my mother. Less than one month later, she died in a traffic accident, and her burial day fell on my birthday. Years later, my father passed away on the exact same date and hour, also on my birthday. These two profound losses made me truly comprehend the cycle of reincarnation. I carry my parents’ spirit within me and must walk this earthly journey fully.

In those early days, even when foreseeing disasters, I possessed no power to alter them, leaving me trapped in inner anguish and confusion. It was not until I became a Dongba cultural inheritor and learned ancient spiritual practices from my master that I grasped profound wisdom and developed practical spiritual methods. Hardships, the loss of loved ones and long‑term inner tribulations refined my soul and accelerated my spiritual awakening. This life journey perfectly echoes the core theme of Phoenix Nirvana — rebirth through fire, a true reflection of my own life story.
I am no longer merely Lan Xin living within three‑dimensional reality; I have awakened to my higher‑dimensional self, Lanxin Samei. Through years of spiritual practice, I have learned rituals of blessing and compassionate dedication. To inherit, safeguard and spread Dongba civilization is the lifelong mission I hold dear.

Eva Petropoulou Lianou: Do you believe that wisdom is part of everything or we must come from a sacred background?
Lan Xin (Lanxin Samei): Wisdom cannot be simply defined in yes‑or‑no terms. From spiritual perspective, the wisdom and energies accumulated through countless lifetimes reside deep within universal consciousness. Adversity and suffering act as keys unlocking this inner treasure, while sacred surroundings nourish its growth. Buddha attained enlightenment beneath the Bodhi tree, and I myself experienced spiritual transformation amid life‑shaking hardships. During secluded writing, compassionate insights arose naturally, giving birth to the philosophical core in Phoenix Nirvana: “Rather than chasing love, become love itself.”

This also forms the spiritual source of my Lan Xin Wisdom Quotes.
Today I dwell among ancient temples and Dongba cultural institutions. My life experience of phoenix‑like rebirth, together with sacred surroundings, allows my inherent wisdom to blossom fully. Innate spiritual endowment, tempering by life hardships, and peaceful sacred environments complement one another. Together they form the path toward awakening, supporting my literary creation and cross‑cultural work.

Eva Petropoulou Lianou: How the Dongba Culture came in your path. Do you consider yourself as spiritual person or you discover your mission after you read about the Culture of Dongba?
Lan Xin (Lanxin Samei): Dongba civilization was facing fading away, destined for revival. In 2017, I met Master Aheng Dongta, the 17‑generation Dongba sage. As a Han Chinese writer devoted to traditional Chinese culture, we resonated deeply over universal themes of cosmos, life and cultural heritage. For thousands of years, Dongba knowledge was passed down exclusively within ethnic lineage. After one‑year observation, Master recognized my sincere devotion to cultural preservation and broke ancient traditions to accept me as his disciple. I took the spiritual name Lanxin Samei, becoming the first female inheritor outside the ethnic community. Together with Master and philanthropist Wan Yilong, we restored the ancient Xinghua Temple and founded Yulong Wenbi Dongba Cultural Academy. For seven years I immersed myself in Dongba classics, undertaking the mission of protecting this endangered civilization.

I was already a spiritual seeker long before encountering Dongba culture, gifted with deep inner awareness. My encounter with Dongba tradition unlocked doors to cosmic wisdom and sacred philosophy encoded within its scriptures. My mission extends far beyond local cultural inheritance. It carries higher‑dimensional spiritual responsibility as well as earthly cultural duty: to awaken collective human consciousness and spread teachings of harmony and coexistence, so as to ease division and suffering, helping humanity rediscover its inner light.

Eva Petropoulou Lianou: Your New book is called Phoenix Nirvana. Can you please tell us More about this upcoming book. It’ is autobiography? It’s a guide book for everyone?
Lan Xin (Lanxin Samei): Phoenix Nirvana serves as a spiritual‑growth guide rather than pure autobiography. Nevertheless, every chapter is nourished by my real‑life experiences and spiritual awakening journey. Drawing from my own struggles and transformation, I offer consolation and inner strength for readers going through confusion.
This book narrates an inward journey of reshaping self and spiritual rebirth. All trials encountered in personal growth, relationships and life serve to polish our inner radiance. Every human being already carries inner light; we only need to reconnect with it. Published by Intellectual Property Publishing House, this volume has received recommendations from many distinguished international and Chinese authors. Its warm, powerful writings guide audiences toward inner awakening.

Eva Petropoulou Lianou: Your book it will be available in other languages. Where readers can find it?
Lan Xin (Lanxin Samei): The Chinese edition has been officially published by Intellectual Property Publishing House of China. I look forward to releasing multilingual translations in future and welcome publishers worldwide for foreign‑language cooperation.
Chinese readers may purchase printed copies and access audiobook versions through major online and offline bookstores. For overseas audiences, selected poems and chapters are available through Polis Magazine for the time being. Complete foreign‑language editions will be announced upon release.

Eva Petropoulou Lianou: In your recent videos and poems we see that you are saying.. We need The hardeness and the swiftness in life. It’s a Motto of Kung Fu? Can you tell us more about this way of life?
Lan Xin (Lanxin Samei): I cherish spiritual practices combined with physical arts including Tai Chi Fan and Longquan sword. These physical disciplines help me align with higher‑dimensional consciousness. The philosophy of gentleness paired with resolute strength is more than merely a martial‑arts maxim; it represents spiritual truth I have distilled through years of living. As women, we naturally embody tender compassion, yet we also ought to cultivate inner firmness and balance softness with power.
From higher spiritual perspective, we ought to hold two states of being: the merciful gentleness of a bodhisattva, and unyielding resolve when circumstances demand. We shift wisely between these states to navigate worldly challenges. This philosophy echoes traditional Chinese martial arts: movements alternate between yielding and force, symbolizing life’s balanced wisdom.
This truth revealed itself to me through my own awakening. Only integrating tenderness and strength can we fulfill grand spiritual missions. I wish to share this insight: Chinese people, and all humanity, ought to combine cultural grace with inner fortitude. Through hardships we achieve complete spiritual transformation — exactly the rebirth symbolized by Phoenix Nirvana.

Eva Petropoulou Lianou: We would like to thank you and ask you to send a wish to our readers.
