My bird was lost
The electricity was gone
for the whole day.
No light in my home,
No light in my heart.
My battery was almost dead,
The network was weak,
And I could hardly reach anyone.
In the darkness,
I did not even know where I was.
Then came 8:00 PM.
I looked for my bird.
I called and called,
but there was no answer.
Only the darkness listened to me.
I don’t know where you are now, my bird.
I don’t know which tree you are under,
Which road you crossed,
Or which sky is carrying your wings.
I feel like I lost more than a bird tonight.
I lost a little piece of my home,
A little piece of my happiness,
A little piece of myself.
Saya, I am sorry.
I lost the chance to find you.
I wish I had one more moment,
One more light,
One more call,
One more chance to hold you close.
Tonight my heart is calling your name.
The home is dark.
The battery is dying.
The network is silent.
And my eyes are full of tears.
But I will keep looking toward the night sky.
If you can hear me,
please come back.
At 8:00 PM, I lost my bird—
but I will never lose the memory
of your wings in my heart.
