Alan Patrick Traynor: IN THE LEAVES THAT RARELY SLEEP

Επιμέλεια: Εύα Πετροπούλου Λιανού

Love
You are sleeping
In the lilly

In a tree that rarely sleeps
In the rhythm of a storm
There is peace

In the elongated rain
That falls
Particles wet upon the joy upon your face

Sleeping daffodils
In the grace of abundance
Water that listens

To your aching face winnowing
In the long wild grass
There is a song

Rushing through the bells of noon
Green orchestras
Of anthems joy

Ringing by the scent
Of you
Spring’s open musk from your hair in the tangled bracken

In the shape of you, torn from light’s
Abandonment

In my hands
I hold the storm

Of you
