A dog is resting on my shadow .

Seeing the
dead fire of the forge
The verb is running after the adjective and getting lost.

Village kids made a rocket
In another village
A swarm of grasshoppers smelled blood and ate
All those rockets as they flew by.

Telling
The pain of birds
Bamboo
once becomes a flute.

Land of Grass
To save the life of a grasshopper
A few mice
are dragging her into a hole

And turns into smoke
Then goes to the white door.

I slowly rising from the group .
Feroz Shah is an emerging committed poet of Bangladesh. He is very economic in words but extensively symbolic in meaning. Keeping aside the pattern of narrative verse, he shows his excellence in composing short but symbolic poems. His poetry ushers a new tone and a new style in Bengali verse literature. His poetry has already arrested the attention of the critics and the poet lovers. This young but committed bard was born on 1st July 1987 at Subarnachar under Noakhali district in Bangladesh. He is the second son of Nurul Haque and Fatema Khatun. He has already published four poetry books. His first book “Ujane Sonali Maach” (Golden Fish against Stream) was published from Behula Bangla in 2017 from Dhaka, Bangladesh. From the same publication, his second book ” Blackboard e Nungach” ( A Salt-tree on Blackboard )was published in 2020. In 2021, his third book of poetry ” Manush Nijey Ekti Biyoug Cinho” (Man Himself is a Negative Sign)” came out from the Calcutta Khasora Khata publication. the same book published in Bangladesh from Chandarbindhu publication in 2023. In 2024, His fourth poetry book ” Amar Chayer Upore Jirocche ekta kukur ( A dog is resting in my Shadow ) was published from Ahik publication in India and Chandrabindhu publication in Bangladesh. He is a teacher by profession. He is equally popular both in India and Bangladesh.
