TWO SOULS, ONE VERSE by Dr. Alekha Prasad Moharana and Dr. Frieda Norma Dela Cruz

Επιμέλεια: Εύα Πετροπούλου Λιανού

Voice 1 – Dr. Alekha Prasad Moharana

I speak where silence learns to turn to sound,
before our separate names were ever found.
Your quiet breath moves gently next to mine,
as if two pauses share a single line.

We came with different weights we had to bear,
you brought your calm, I brought my careful prayer.
Yet words leaned inward, seeking common ground,
where no one leads and no one is unbound.

What I let fall, you never try to claim,
what you protect, I never press to name.
Between our thoughts, a balance softly steers,
a truth that grows by listening, not fears.

If this one verse outlives where we depart,
it’s because we stayed open, heart to heart.
Two souls aligned, yet faithfully diverse,
alive together in a breathing verse.

Voice 2 – Dr. Frieda Norma Dela Cruz

I listen where the echo touches light,
and hear your melody bloom in the night.
Your presence steadies all I’ve ever known,
where broken parts remember how they’re whole.

I bring my stillness; you, your guiding grace—
together finding home in sacred space.
We do not bend each other’s living song,
We weave a chorus where we both belong.

You hold the ground where I can simply be,
I offer you the truth of honesty.
A bridge of light across the miles we span,
unfolding softly by a higher plan.

Though years may fade and written ink run dry,
This bond still breathes beneath a boundless sky.
Two spirits met by destiny’s calm hand,
a poem traced on time’s eternal sand.
