Sleepy Cry By Hillol Ray
Jack daw’s sleepy cry woke me up on Sunday,
As Angela walks in with a cup of morning tea-
I rose from the sunlit bed in willow shed,
And moved the drape to view the golden sea!
Her mellow tunes against the sand dunes
Caused me to yawn, stretch, and sigh-
And her face blushed in a romantic flush,
As she fumbled with her own cup under open sky!
Her eyes gleamed as the heavenly blue,
And dreamt over the old romance-
We both wondered in awe and smiled,
And touched our hands to drag us in a dance!
All the love in her heart flowed over mine,
On the outskirts of my elephant ears-
And I exclaimed: I knew it and I knew it not,
Angela’s voice became clear and sweeter,
Like the octave in a music of a song-
And the buds of our love were blooming,
To show leaves and flowers, and nothing was wrong!
The secret we found today seemed so, fair,
Without a wait for our hair to turn brown to gray-
And we promise to carry it on till death do us apart,
To show-case our happiness on a world size tray!!

Imitation spins the threads of cover-up,
And lowers dignity until it is caught –
From the dawn of civilizations till now,
Around the world, still it is sought!
But the ‘TRUTH’ is like the only sun
That is the medicine of universal power –
