Poem by Molly Joseph

Επιμέλεια: Εύα Πετροπούλου Λιανού

Languorous the elders
in empty families
the youth have
fled, seeking
the arm chair await
for a call from shores

the vacuum
they left

hover round
‘who is to take care ‘

lucky you are
if you have
your companion
to relate to,
to care,
quarrel with…
luckier if your
health keeps
you engaged…

gone are those
zestful days…

tired race horses
on reprieve…
staring at
the wallA, its corners
the roof
where cobwebs
