What Is Nobility

Whether one is noble
Is never defined by birth, status, rank, talent or wealth

Some are born into prosperity
yet filth lingers deep within their bones
Some come from humble origins
but possess steadfast integrity
Some hold high office
yet their hearts are filled with gloom
Some are trapped in desperate straits
but retain ethereal pure bearing

A truly noble person
embodies dignified character
embodies broad tolerance
embodies pure virtue
embodies tranquil inner mind
embodies unyielding integrity

Those who love themselves shall always be loved by others
Those who respect themselves shall always be respected by others
Those who respect others shall always be revered by others
Those who strive to help themselves shall always receive heaven’s aid.
