I see beyond the shadow
I see beyond the shadow,
where the light dances with memories,
light as a butterfly’s wing,
that touches the air without disturbing it.
Always fluid,
like a dream that flows between breath and silence,
able to burn the magic of the horizon
with the ethereal smile,
where the waters of the ponds are mixed
with the lawns of the eyes.
In that mixture of light and shadow,
where the soul no longer has a body,
nor the breath a name,
there you find me —
on the invisible border
where eternity begins
The Sea in Autumn
In autumn,
the sea is a wise old man
sitting on a blue throne,
with his eyes turned to the sky, and no longer needs to show his strength.
He makes no noise,
but carries in his deep chest the songs of past storms,
kept like secret books that only silence can read.
The waves behave gently,
like children bending to their father’s hand,
and every wave that touches the shore is a leisurely embrace, a warm memory before separation.
The sky lies calmly above it,
like a blue cloak on the shoulders of a monk,
and the delayed sun resembles a candle that burns leisurely,
to illuminate the soul,
and the world.
In this calm,
the sea teaches me that true strength is to know,
to accept the passing of time like a wave that disappears,
but leaves behind the shine on the sand.
With love and respect
