Literary contest Carlos Hugo Garrido Chalén

International Poetry Prize 2022

1.- The literary contest, I Carlos Hugo Garrido Chalén International Poetry Prize 2022, is organized by Mil Mentes por México Internacional, the Hispanomundial Union of Writers in collaboration with Ontime Books UK, the Latin American Academy of Modern Literature, the World Academy of Literature, History, Art and Culture and the Academic Society of Ibero-American Historians, all poets can participate in it, regardless of place of residence, provided they present their work in Spanish and English.

2.- The poems can be presented from April 22, 2022 to August 22 of the same year. Any work presented outside the term indicated in Mexico time will not be accepted.

4.- The collection of poems will be presented on letter-size sheets, which must be numbered at the bottom, with Times New Roman 12 font, double spaced, without drawings or data that can identify the author and the extension will be 50 pages minimum and 80 pages maximum. The text will be presented in PDF format, in reading mode.

5.- The work will be sent by Email according to the following specifications: signed under a pseudonym and name of the author, containing the same on the first page, as well as the title of the collection of poems. It will be sent to the address [email protected], in a file, in PDF, which will be titled with the name of the collection of poems followed by a hyphen and then the pseudonym. The escrow or personal data will be sent to the email [email protected], which will be identified with the pseudonym used by the author and will contain the following data: name and surname of the author, legal address of their home, identification document or DNI or passport, as well as the contact telephone number and email. An affidavit will be included where the author states that he meets the requirements set forth in the third base of this call. In both emails, the subject will specify: I Carlos Hugo Garrido Chalén International Poetry Prize 2022.

6.- A jury made up of three renowned writers and literary critics will be chosen, who will make the resulting decision, awarding the 12 most outstanding figures from the 5 continents.

7.- The prize will consist of the delivery of a Diploma Certificate of Honor for each category, as well as the publication of the Anthology with the 12 best poets selected from the 5 continents, which will consist of the selection of the work of each one, for publish one hundred copies of the poems by OnTime Books Latino and the participating Academies and of which the authors will be entitled to 5 copies; A first place in the Poeta de la Totalidad 2022 category within the Carlos Hugo Garrido Chalén International Poetry Prize 2022 will also be awarded with a Single Prize, which will be selected from the 12 poets and will receive a medal of honor in a special edition and the full publication of his work of which the author will be entitled to 10 copies. Mentions will not be given to participants, nor will a semifinalist fold be made. Any publication that is made a posteriori by the author of the poems must refer to the award in the new edition to the award obtained.

8.- The award ceremony will take place in an act organized for this purpose by the organizers, in which the presence of the author or, failing that, a representative and virtual presence will be an essential requirement. Your non-attendance will imply your resignation. The award-winning poet will be notified sufficiently in advance so that he can organize his transfer to the event. The organizers are not committed to the expenses that the transfer of the winner may generate. The award ceremony will be held on November 16, 2022, in the City of Santiago de Querétaro, Mexico in a Hybrid Ceremony.

1O.- Participation in the 1st Carlos Hugo Garrido Chalén International Poetry Prize 2022 implies full acceptance of these rules, there will be no communication with the participants. Communication will only be maintained by the organizers with the best poets in the world selected once the ruling is known.
