The American Metal Brigade Corners of Sanctuary Release New Video and Demonstrate That Metal Never Dies

Corners of Sanctuary (COS) has released a new music video for their unique tribute cover of Def Leppard’s classic track, “Bringing on the Heartbreak.”

The video marks the second single released from the band’s recent EP, “Defying,” following “Mirror, Mirror” earlier this year.

“The impact that comes from doing a cover version of such a popular song can be daunting in my opinion,” said COS guitarist and founder Mick Michaels. “Essentially the best way to approach it is to make the song your own and do it as you only can…this way it’s never just a cheap imitation…it’s your interpretation.”

“Defying” is available on Sonic Velocity Records and was mastered by longtime L.A. producer Bill Metoyer (Slayer, Armored Saint).

In addition, Corners of Sanctuary has also unleashed “Metal Never Dies,” their second “best of” installment; now available digitally on most popular online platforms and streaming sites through Sonic Velocity Records.

This “best of” compilation clocks in at over an hour and a half and contains 20 tracks spanning the band’s 11 year career; old classics and new favorites which were treated with updated versions and recordings. All newly remixed and remastered. The collection also includes two brand new tracks, “Here We are Kings” and the instrumental “At the Gates.”

“Having the opportunity to give these songs a well needed polishing is exciting to us,” said Michaels. “Things change over the years… we have changed and so has the music. So it’s great to be able to get another shot at them.”

“Metal Never Dies” follows 2016’s “Declaration of Metal,” the band’s first compilation outing. Several of the same songs do appear on both releases, although this latest installment features more contemporary incarnations of those tracks.

“Metal Never Dies” encompasses more of who and what this band is today,” added Michaels.

COS has made the compilation’s first single, “On the Hunt 2022,” available for free, for a limited time, exclusively on their website at www.cornersofsanctuary.com

A limited number of “Metal Never Dies” CDs are also available and can be purchased only through the band, either at their live shows or by ordering directly here.
