Niki Zahari: Personal Art – Engraving Exhibition «Habitats, Cyclades 2025»

Municipal Art Gallery of Mykonos “Maria Iglessi”, Matoyianni Exhibition Hall.

Life of Species on Earth: Every species on our planet has its own space, its own ideally limited area, where it is conceived, develops, lives, and eventually dies. But what happens when transformations occur – when changes affect the habitat of each species?

Over the past few years, the artist Niki Zahari has devoted time to studying the flowers of the Cyclades. The concept was initially introduced at an art exhibition held in Paros in the summer of 2024. This year it is being presented in Mykonos, as an engraving exhibition and with the theme “Habitats”.

This exhibition is the result of research that began in Cyclades, based on the artist’s Niki Zahari personal love for pure nature. Her interest gradually turned toward the flowers of Cyclades. The artist’s perspective takes shape through her creations, beginning with her own experiences, thoughts, and sounds, and transforming them to materials and forms – inviting the visitors to see and listen with their own true soul.

Niki Zahari is a graduate of Athens School of Fine Arts with two degrees. The first in art (1998) and the second in sculpting (2014). Her most significant accomplishments include, among others, a rich portfolio of art creations, the foundation of her own art school and teaching art classes in public elementary schools. Her art works are in private art collections and have been presented in numerous exhibitions. Over the last few years, performance has been added to her artistic expression.
