Going round the Great Time last day /
Urvashi Cohabits with aquatic conch. /
With lost dignity /
Conch stayed as a tame lass by shore /
Dozed in open shell, lonely. /
Lend an ear /
A crazy voice from conch flots afar. /
Suppressed whisper of sigh /
Deep darkness slowly spreads /
The Covered manuscript of the Great Time /
Turns papes with departing music of migratory bird. /
Wave comes and dives again /
Yet people go to the sea /
Listen to conch. /
Engrossed in deep down water
Quite abysmal alone.
Cry the thirsty yea and nay /
Radiant linn of sin and virtue

Short Bio: Taufiqul Islam Chowdhury is a dedicated Bangladeshi litterateur of the present age. This keen penetrative, essayist and poet has considerable contribution by writing various books, which identifies him as writer at the national level. His standard, popular books have more than one edition, even fifth/ sixth editions in some cases. He was born on 7April, 1957 at Hajee Bari in Raozan, which memorable for rebel poet, Kazi Nazrul Islam’. In maternal side he is the next generation of medieval poet, Baker Ali Chowdhury.
He arrived in literary field with the help of famous rhymer Bokteyar Hossain. His first attempt was a rhyme when he was in class seven. Later he has written essayes and done research. His informative, realistic and fluent writing has an alluring style which engrosses the readers. He is skillful in poems too. His poems are explicit and conscious. A different feeling overflows in these poems which are mixed up with craze.
He has obtained Graduation (Honours) and Masters in Political Science and started his career as a ‘Sub-Editor’ of newspaper. Later on he has performed as an ‘In-charge’ of industry and other important parts of Financial Institutions. He is the proud father of Sanjida Sajin and Dr. Chowdhury Arefin Mahmud.
