Subash Singh Parajuli: “As I walk and walk”

Επιμέλεια: Εύα Πετροπούλου Λιανού

As I walk and walk
I see; those who does more chores they have less talk
Those who are free of any action;they always chatter
There are those sleeping who are awakening
And others awoken are in sound sleep
Some of those bathing in holy pool
They never get clean but remain fool
The one who has faith of Truth
Likely to have magical spirits
And those shun syllable of Lord
Will burn with fear of actions
Those who walk on and on to his destination
They will reach it but not in destiny
Those who are living in palace, yet dead
And still living is found when they are in small hut
There are some who won’t get content offering much
Until a soul can’t be free from desires to taste eternity

As I walk and talk to them
Their nature of living invite much worries
And then I simply prefer to walk and walk
Like moving gust of breeze to kiss the flake of white mountain
As a revering stream to touch the depth of ocean
Where I can see self inside self, and me inside thee?
That longing to be together if we are not free?
Although I being caught in it’s illusion of truth
As I prefer to walk and walk

Songs for Peace

Each nook and street is full of strife and pain,
It’s hard to weave a peaceful refrain
Each juvenile passing sleepless night at the Gaza
All are longing for harmony and light

Whoever has torn the dream of living in a fraternity
Whatsoever pile of decease mounted
A symphony of love and care surpass
With every note, let hatred cease,
All of our voices must converge in a song of peace.

From distant lands, a choir shall arise in the form of poetry
Voices of different cultures shall rise in the skies of Palestine
Let’s hand-in-hand we’ll sway the song of peace.
As melodies of truce shall illuminate the way it’s harmony.

let the music fill the air of peace
A symphony of love and care prevail
With every note, let hatred cease,
Every terrorist voice sings a song of peace.

The division of race and partition of religion is enough,
No more walls, no more borders,
Enough is enough of being Muslim slaughtered
Every destruction is enough for Jews or whoever be
All shall walk together in the coastline of Medetarian

We’ll rise, above it all of the carcass from Hamas
With every beat, every talk compassion grows,
In this song of peace, we’ll overflow beyond the borders.

It’s time to heal the wounds that time has left behind for all of us
Each wounded soul has to rewrite the saga of fraternity
For in our hearts, for the next dreamer who resides,
To live as one, where love forever abides.

Dear, extremist comrade let us sing the anthem of peace, loudly to hear beyond the broader
And glide a testament of love, dispelling all mean fear
Rising from all sorts of broken walls and dead habits
A beacon of peace, from shore to shore
We, all of us can fill the colour of peace in the skies of the World.
