Thank you for having us! We are a multinational melodic hard rock band based in Berlin, Germany. Our songs might sound catchy, but they never leave the listener empty; there’s always emotion, depth, and a story behind every melody.
When did you start as a band?
We started in 2021. The band was founded by our singer Alīse and guitarist Máximo. What began as a creative partnership quickly grew into something much bigger, a shared vision that became Rising Alma.
What is your first musical memory?
One of our first memories as a band is writing songs together during the lockdowns and building our first home studio. That period really shaped who we are. It connected us deeply as songwriters and helped us understand each other musically. It was the foundation of our sound.
Who are the members of the band?
Rising Alma is made up of Alīse: Vocals, Máximo : Guitar, Sebastian : Bass and Finn: Drums
Describe to us your career in music to date. Were there any decisive positive or negative influences?
For me (Alīse), taking music seriously really started with this band. Before that, I wasn’t working in music. I grew up surrounded by choir and classical music, but I always knew I wanted to create something that was truly my own.
When I was 15, I started exploring music outside the classical world, and it opened my eyes to new possibilities. The real turning point came around 2018, when I began asking myself what I really wanted to do with my life. I realized music was the only thing that made me feel alive. That decision eventually led me to Berlin in 2020, to fully dive into rock. Soon after, I met Máximo, who shared that same fire. The rest unfolded naturally.
Are you “scared” by success or failure?
I think both can be intimidating in their own way. Success means reaching your dreams, but it also brings new responsibilities and challenges. Failure, to me, would mean not following what truly burns inside me.
Once I took that first step toward my dream, the fear of failure disappeared. Now, any fear I have is just the kind that pushes me forward – the drive to appreciate every opportunity and make the most of it. When you’re guided by purpose, every step counts.
Tell us a few words about your latest release.
Cracking The Moment is our second full-length album, and it captures who we are more than ever before. It’s original, energetic, and full of contrasts – just like us. We don’t want to fit into a single box; we want to tell a story.
This album is a chapter of our journey. It reflects our emotions, our growth, and our drive. Cracking The Moment represents where Rising Alma stands right now, and we’re incredibly proud to share it with the world.
Who edits the lyrics and music?
Alīse writes most of the lyrics, with Máximo often contributing ideas and suggestions. Together, they’re the main songwriters of the band. All our music is produced and mixed in our home studio, we handle everything ourselves, from the first note to the final master.
What are your future music plans?
To keep creating. Writing new music and letting our creativity flow are what matter most to us. We’re planning more gigs, expanding beyond Berlin, and connecting with new audiences. The goal is simple: to keep growing and keep the fire in us alive.
