HEELS by Jernail S Aanand

A god came to me in
A daydream and said
I know your love
Remained unfulfilled.

I can promise
Your marriage with
Your loved one
In the next incarnation.

I started thinking
It looked a wild promise
Was death in my hands?
And who knows what after death?

The saddest part
Of this dream
I am telling you now
I shared it with her somehow.

She was visibly happy
But then she became morose
And said, will you wish I die soon
To be united with you anon?

Next moment her mood wheels
And tells me to grow
A bit taller
As she loves to wear heels.
