You are the rejoicing of this season
so great that I cannot
express it into words, so I remain silent in
delight.
Will I see you again in another
scene?
I slow down tearing pages
from the calendar, leaning towards
the inevitable…
The melancholy of associations creeps
stealthily, and the golden colors
all around
shimmer with lyricism.
Baskets full of fruits – pears and apples,
proud pumpkins welcome you to the gardens.
Flavors confuse the senses, the nostrils are filled
with the scent of campfire smoke, and how can I not cry out:
More! More!
The dream
in the shadow
of the Parthenon’s columns,
he sat down,
moistened his forehead in the boiling water,
fell asleep,
with a wreath of horizons on his head,
the ancient world has turmoiled,
figures of deities carried away
by the profonde music of the spheres,
something gently rocked the earth,
Ares gave as a gift his own armor to Hermes,
he wanted to switch roles,
Dionysus beat Hades at cards,
Zeus distributed gold flakes,
during the break, he debated the results,
of the constellations of stars,
he gave Orion possession of lightning,
Athena and Aphrodite feasted on strelitzia,
a wolf and a doe are near one manger,
the view was beyond mortal,
or was it from before the beginning,
of the perfection of purification,
awakened by the mill of sounds,
of smartphone conversations,
he reflected,
the technozoic on the offensive

Dr. Olga Smolnytska – Ukrainian scientist, scholar, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, translator, writer, artist, graphic, literary critic.
Aleksandra Sołtysiak (Poland), graduate of the Catholic University of Lublin and Jagiellonian University in Kraków. She has served as coeditor of the poetry anthology Dotyk nadzie (The Touch of Hope), which was translated into Ukrainian and German, as well as of the international anthology in support of world peace The tree of peace turns green / European poetry for universal harmony, which has been translated into Polish and English. She i also the author Hope blossoms longer and the published poetry volume „Spilled from the cases”. Finalist in the fourth International Poetry Contest, „Voices in the Wilderness” held in Rome (2022). She publishes nationally and internationally. She has also been awarded the Gold Cross of Merit by Polish president Andrzej Duda. In 2023 distinguished with a medal for Merit to Polish Culture.
