10 Years Platforms Project!

PLATFORMS PROJECT 2022! | PARALLEL PROGRAM

The Platforms Project, the most dynamic and avant-garde art event, celebrates its tenth anniversary presenting the biggest art event in its history and a multifaceted parallel program of speeches, conferences, videos, programs for children, performances, workshops and parties.

The Platforms Project 2022 – Independent Art Fair celebrates its 10th anniversary and will run from October 13th  – 16th, 2022 at the “Nikos Kessanlis” exhibition space at the Athens School of Fine Arts (256 Piraeus 256, PC 18235 Agios Ioannis Rentis).
A breeding ground for young artists par excellence, where experimentation, research and the shaping of artistic identity are continuously requested, the exhibition space at the School of Fine Arts is the ideal choice for the Platforms Project.

The project is directed by Artemis Potamianou and Michalis Argyrou. Artemis Potamianou is the artistic curator of Platforms Project 2022.

Platforms Project is an international exhibition that always aims to present the independent art scene as it is expressed through group initiatives of Greek and international artists working in Greece and abroad. The Platforms Project has as its goal the shared search for solutions to contemporary questions of art and the indicative mapping of artistic activity as it is produced today in the framework of group initiatives of young artists in the international art environment.

For ten years the Platforms Project enabled hundreds of platforms and thousands of artists from 39 countries to present their work without censorship and boundaries beyond the imagination and creativity of the artists.

The Platforms Project has often been the motivation and the occasion for artists to collaborate and create new groups, platforms, to join and merge, to exchange artists and projects. Hundreds of exhibition exchanges were held, channels of dialogue on art were created and thousands of visitors had the opportunity to come closer to contemporary art.

The Platforms Project 2022 presents platforms from 26 countries (USA, Cyprus, Greece, Canada, Netherlands, France, Mexico, Mexico, Venezuela, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ethiopia, Brazil, Chile, Russia, Turkey, Netherlands, Germany, Italy, United Kingdom, Austria, Sweden, Belgium, Denmark, Switzerland, Poland, Ukraine, Australia), having received hundreds of applications following its open online call.
