Her poems:

RECALLING THE PAST WINTER

Soft mattress, warm blanket, cozy bedroom

Yet feeling the chill of winter, restless gloom

Clouds dance with the wind across the sky

The heart suddenly recalls a time gone by

Mother lay in the damp morning dew

Children curled up in the straw nests too

Father sat, puffing on his pipe tobacco in contemplation

Radiating warmth to hug his children with affection

The distant sound of roosters fills the air

Rice grains and sliced cassava, memories of the poor years

Now, in the quiet night with pillows embroidered white

Recalling the cold drops of the past, the feeling.

HALF-COLOR LEAF

Not yellow, yet not fully green

The swaying wind holds branches that afraid of unstable

At midnight, condensed dew softly whispers

“The green-yellow leaf” tests its strength

Half of the leaf no longer wears green attire

Drifting down the stream, the cool water transforms the floating leaf

Full of floating emotions

Who knows when two leaves, in a tender touch might confess their love

“The green-yellow leaf” suddenly startled

Surprised:

To find itself still draped in smooth green

NIGHT BLOOMING CEREUS

Quietly! Please be quiet!

Night blooming Cereus is laboring to bloom

The dark night is silent

The life of the sweet Cereus, opening its heart to fragrance

Saved from the wind and dew

Filtering through the sky and earth, thousands of directions call back

Not interested in traveling to rugged mountains

Not seeking luxury or affluence

How soft and pure the wings are

So gentle and longing for the long night

The scent of the Cereus is gentle and lovely

Its gentleness spreads to the heart

Waiting until the drunken moon

Turning and bestowing its precious gift to life

MY HOMELAND

I returned to silence beneath the banyan tree

I could hear the sound of cranes flying over the communal house

Incense smoke filled the majestic and sacred space

Reciting Amitabha Buddha as the bell rang

The sacred soul exudes compassion in the afternoon air

Covered in moss, amidst the floating real world

From the depths of the human heart

I pray for hundreds of lineages near and far

The sacred land preserves perfection for every home

Many generations of blessings have nurtured us into human beings

The banyan tree spreads its canopy to the sky.

When I returned, the tree still embraced me

SEEKING TO RETURN

Storks spread their wings and fly in the purple afternoon

The sunset captivates kites in the distance

Feeling nostalgic for the homeland

Loving friends and seeking to return to the homeland. Butterfly wings fluttering on the side of the road. The red scarves on the schoolyard that day. In the afternoon, nostalgia returns so hard. Seeking to return to that place and get lost in a dreamland
